Has your New Jersey attorney been disciplined by the state’s Disciplinary Review Board? You can find all notices of discipline and reinstatements on the New Jersey Courts website.
The searchable database includes notices of discipline and reinstatements published by the Disciplinary Review Board for all New Jersey attorneys who have been the subject of public discipline or reinstatement proceedings since January 1988.
To determine whether a New Jersey attorney has been publicly disciplined, click on the first letter of the attorney’s last name. For example, if you were trying to find the discipline history of “John Smith”, you would click on the letter “S”.
We recommend searching by the first letter of the lawyer’s last name on the alphabetical listing page of the New Jersey Courts website because sometimes spellings of names are not consistent. If you search by the exact name of a lawyer you may miss a listing if you don’t have the correct spelling or the name of the lawyer has been entered into the database with an alternative spelling.
